Joining the Institute recently as a new member is Syed Naseeruddin (pictured), who has over 30 years’ experience in the design and construction management of healthcare facilities, institutional and commercial buildings, and power projects.
He is currently working as senior electrical engineer with KEO International Consultants, a worldrenowned planning, architectural design, civil engineering, and project management specialist in the Middle East, on the Qatar Foundation’s Sidra Medical and Research Centre Project in Qatar. The Centre will, Syed Naseeruddin explains, be “a world-class clinical, teaching, and research organisation unrivalled in the region”. Phase I of the hospital, incorporating 320 beds, will be completed in 2012, with plans to add a further 230 beds during Phase II.
