The Fire Protection Association (FPA) says its latest DVD release provides essential fire awareness training suitable for all staff in healthcare premises, from those working in wards, to specialist units and clinics.
The content highlights issues that must be considered when maintaining fire safety in healthcare premises, and is arranged in nine short modules to allow the training to be tailored specifically to a particular audience or department. The modules are: action in the event of fire; evacuation; hazard spotting; fire response teams; fire extinguishers; isolation of oxygen; emergency preparedness; reducing false alarms, and fire safety system maintenance.
