A mains power distribution system now available in the UK from Bagshot-based technology distributor Steljes enables power outlets to be quickly, simply, and safely added or moved without, as the company puts it, “the delay, inconvenience, and expense, associated with calling in a qualified electrician”.
Adding a new power outlet is achieved simply by inserting a Mainline outlet adaptor into the appropriate section of track, then twisting the adaptor clockwise to lock it into place – which also makes the outlet “live”. Similarly, a user can instantly reposition or remove power sockets anywhere along the length of a section of track, simply by turning the adaptor anticlockwise. Equally suitable for installation in new build or refurbished hospitals, Mainline can be fitted either as a “standalone” system, or integrated into skirting boards, chair rails, or along work surfaces.
