Trend BEMS seminars prove popular

A series of 13 energy management seminars held this year UK-wide by Trend Control Systems designed to educate building owners on the role of building energy management systems (BEMS) in relation to energy management, and how such equipment can help them reduce energy use within their buildings, was attended by over 1,000 end-users.

The central message was: “Up to 84% of a building’s energy usage can be controlled by a BEMS”. The audience was asked to consider what they do to control the environment within their buildings and effectively control plant operation, with practical examples and case studies showing “that a BEMS can be the fastest solution to effective energy management”.
Trend says the seminars also sought to “dispel the myth that a BEMS is a black art”. The company says: “By understanding the information that building managers and users really need, and then applying today’s technology, it was shown that information can be served up in a manner that suits each user’s requirements.
Trend plans to make the resulting CPD-approved handbook available to download on its website: www.trendcontrols.com/en-GB
