An analysis of every PCT’s carbon emissions for “Energise Your Estate the Low Carbon Way” found extensive variation across Trusts’ estates, ownership of which will be transferred following the abolition of PCTs by April 2013. The LIFT Council has called for all Trusts and their successor bodies to adopt long-term carbon management strategies to minimise their emissions – alongside the “quick wins” it says are achievable “through modest changes in practice”.
