Emerson Network Power has upgraded its original midsized modular UPS, the Chloride MP-NET, to provide up to 120 kVA of uninterruptible power.
A hot-swappable modular UPS system designed to grow with load requirements, it offers modular flexibility and scalability combined with “exceptional energy efficiency”. “The Chloride MP-NET enables smaller IT facilities to start with just 20 kVA capacity and then increase the UPS rating, or add redundancy later, without the expense of buying a fully rated unit on day one,” explained Rob Tanzer, technical support manager for the Chloride AC Power business of Emerson Network Power in the UK. If loads increase, or additional N+1 parallel redundancy is needed, the Chloride MP-NET allows up to six 20 kVA modules to be slotted in, hot swapped, or reassigned, within each 120 kVA UPS. Its parallel capability means four units can, together, provide up to a maximum of 480 kVA of protected power.
