JAOtech’s screen premieres

JAOtech has unveiled what it claims are the world’s first range of large screen ultra-thin medical LED TVs with an in-built embedded computer.

Launched at the recent Medica exhibition, and aimed specifically at healthcare applications for both patient entertainment and clinical access, the 32” and 40” inch Onix units feature an IP-rated waterproof screen tested against hospital cleaning agents. The fanless embedded computer uses the latest Intel Atom processor technology, for low noise and high reliability, and supports full high definition 1080p resolution. The 32” model is just 22 mm thick, and weighs only 14.5 kg. The TVs are compatible with JAOtech’s Wyki wireless keyboard, and are supplied with a newly developed “gesture” remote control. Also introduced were new JAOtech smart terminal accessories, including the Arcos 8250 multimedia wall box, which, via wireless LAN and Ethernet connections, allows patients and hospital staff to use their own laptops on the ward alongside the terminals, and to connect games consoles.
