Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust has called in Vanguard Healthcare to deploy two mobile units at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton as a “visiting hospital” to undertake additional patient procedures across a wide range of surgical disciplines.
The self-contained operating theatre and ward connect to the hospital’s permanent day surgery facility via a purpose-built walkway. By using Vanguard’s “state-of-the-art” units, the hospital has been able to carry out an additional 217 procedures in just eight weeks.
