Dubai’s recent Arab Health 2011 event saw the Static Systems Group unveil its new FusionIP nurse call communication technology. The system is designed to bring increased efficiency, simplified communications integration, and intelligent alarm processing, along with “long-term investment security”.
FusionIP is “platform independent”, and operates on the principle of “distributed intelligence”. In place of the “traditional reliance” on hardware, the technology is designed to deliver multi-disciplined, site-wide communication through openprotocol software. “Easily and effectively integrated with other industry standard protocols”, including wireless technologies, FusionIP’s open architecture allows it to “grow into one integrated communications platform”. Facilities such as bed transfer, nurse presence, and cardiac alarm, can be added in line with HTM 08-03 recommendations. VoIP telephony, smartphone connectivity, and remote alarm management, further enhance site-wide communication. Static Systems says “there is often no need to install system-specific cabling”, as the technology is compatible with existing infrastructures.
