HVCA (Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association) chief executive Robert Higgs is to retire from the Association after 38 years’ service later this year.
Due to be 65 in May, he has been a member of the HVCA executive staff since 1973, and was appointed its chief executive in July 1989. Appointed an OBE in 2006 in recognition of services to the HVACR sector and the environment, he will stand down at the HVCA’s 2011 AGM in London on 21 July; a process is in hand to appoint his successor.
