One of the UK’s leading manufacturers of nurse call systems, the Wandsworth Group, has been at the forefront of healthcare communications technology for over 50 years.
This year, Wandsworth‘s continuing long term commitment to the UK Healthcare market will include Staff Presence and Attack features for its “highly successful” IPiN Nursecall system – a fully IP-based nurse call system that now been installed in over 30 hospitals, and continues to be specified for major projects across the UK.
The Staff Presence and Attack system uses long-range active radio frequency (RFID) and infrared (IR) technology to ensure staff are protected at all times. The units, designed to hold a staff ID badge, have two one-touch fully customisable buttons which can be programmed, for example, as “attack” and “assistance”, and linked directly back to staff display units and call systems. The technology also allows programming in of room-to-room real-time location, enabling staff to be quickly located. The IP66 unit is lightweight, and powered by a single replaceable lithium battery with an expected 5-year usage.
The Torquay conference and exhibition also saw Wandsworth showcase its latest Safecall wireless system.
