Scottish events reviewed

The Institute’s Scottish branch has published online, on its dedicated page on the IHEEM website (www.iheem.org.uk/Scotland), a brief review of a number of successful recent events it has held to support members in their continued professional development.

The mix of technical talks and tours to both healthcare and non-healthcare premises has included:

• A St Andrew’s Day lecture on the “rise and fall” of the Glasgow trams.
• A lunchtime seminar on refrigeration efficiency, current developments, and legislation.
• A tour of the Forth Ports Authority at Grangemouth.
• A seminar on Legionella and water treatment technologies.
• A tour of robotics systems at the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert.

Future events are being planned, and will be posted on the website. The branch is keen to hear from members with ideas for future events.
