Now available in the UK in “easy-todispense” tubes from distributor RPG Europe in Hythe, Kent, the “Green Glue” noiseproofing system, manufactured by Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, is a viscoelastic product said to “significantly dampen noise transmission” by converting sound vibration into small amounts of heat.
When applied as a constrained layer between two sheets of plasterboard, plywood, or other building substrate, it is claimed to reduce noise transfer from one room to the next “by as much as 90%”.
