Efficient use of energy, care for the environment and working in a sustainable way are becoming increasingly important, and IHEEM is staging a series of seminars looking at these areas. Particular focus will be on sustainability issues.
The seminars will address issues affecting
estates and help attendees to identify best practices that they can use in
their own working lives. Chris Holme and Lorraine Brayford of the Department of
Health are confirmed to speak on Encode and NEAT respectively. John Michalski
of PASA will explain how his organisation encourages sustainable and
environmentally friendly fuel purchase and consumption. Delegates will hear
about a Trust’s perspective, and there will be a presentation by the Carbon
Trust. Eaton Williams will give a presentation on the environmentally friendly
use of air conditioning.
Dates for the seminars are as follows: Newcastle – 4 May. London – 16 May (held in conjunction with IHEEM’s
AGM). Birmingham – 13 June. A booking form for the event is
being mailed by IHEEM to members. For further information, contact Louise
