Training meets professional development needs

A series of nationwide training seminars for construction professionals was launched by BYL Training at an event in London in March. Health Estate Journal, along with an invited group of architects, construction professionals and associated industry representatives heard at first hand how the changing regulatory framework was fuelling demand for training which also meets the needs of CPD (continuing professional development).

Dr Tony Dennison, associate director, BYL Group spoke to HEJ about the tailor-made training. “With the changing regulatory environment, facilities managers in areas such as healthcare need to keep abreast of changes that affect their working practices,” he stated. “The training provided by BYL will provide regulatory overviews as well as offering practical advice on areas such as fire safety, planning supervision and the accessible environment.”

Dates for the seminars have been set from April through to July this year in locations including London, Bristol and Leeds. A further programme will be released later to cover September to December 2006 and this will be more extensive and cover a much wider range of subjects such as contract employment law and building pathology.
