With less than a month to go until this year’s Healthcare Estates event in Manchester, it is important to remind you about some of the highlights at this year’s conference and exhibition that make this a must-attend event for all those involved in healthcare estates.
The event provides a flexible way for the healthcare estates community to come together: a high-quality conference that will explore in-depth the current and future challenges for healthcare providers and their partner organisations; and a free-to-attend exhibition offering access to over 150 exhibitors showcasing the latest equipment, technologies, and services, for creating and maintaining effective, efficient treatment environments. Over 2,000 people will come together in Manchester on 1-2 November to network, do business, and access high-level intelligence to help them in their work. The conference is rightly focused on the challenges posed by the current reforms of the NHS, along with the ongoing demands to create better outcomes from constrained public sector resources. The conference is heavy on NHS speakers and best practice examples, providing a valuable resource in understanding future direction, and accessing best practice example to help NHS organisations deliver productivity improvements and efficiency savings. Among the key speakers are healthcare expert, Professor Alan Maynard, provocative commentator, Roy Lilley, respected estates directors such as UCLH’s Trevor Payne and North Tees and Hartlepool’s Kevin Oxley, and Department of Health leaders such as Rob Smith and Peter Sellars. Special features on the exhibition floor include product and technical showcases on facilities management, medical technologies, and energy and sustainability. Healthcare Estates will also provide a great opportunity to find out how IHEEM membership can help you, and staff from IHEEM and Health Estate Journal will be on hand to meet visitors. The following pages provide a breakdown on the essential elements of the Healthcare Estates event, through the conference programme, exhibitor list, floorplan, and other exhibition features.
