Cummins Power Generation’s (CPG) Energy Solutions Business (ESB) provides services ranging from system design, project management, financing, and operation and maintenance contracts, to the development of turnkey power plants.
The company says it targets “predominantly, but not exclusively”, the gas-fired, mid-power, distributed generation market in the range of 2 MW to 20 MW, using pipeline natural gas and non-standard gases such as landfill and digester gas. Generator sets are powered by lean burn gas reciprocating engines between 300KW and 2MW. CPG is a subsidiary of New York Stock Exchange-listed Cummins Inc, a $2 billion sales company which claims, for over 80 years, to have been “an industryleader in increasing the availability and reliability of electric power worldwide”.
