At this year’s Healthcare Estates conference and exhibition, experts from Spirax Sarco presented seminars explaining how the latest steam system control technologies will help healthcare estates managers meet fast-approaching carbon reduction targets.
In fact, the company maintains, such equipment can save between 10 and 20% of boiler fuel costs, significantly lowering both carbon emissions and energy bills.
Spirax Sarco also showcased its latest generation of EasiHeat heat exchanger, featuring improvements suggested by its customers. EasiHeats can reportedly cut energy bills by 6-10%. For example, following a plant room upgrade, five EasiHeat units are saving St George’s Hospital in Tooting £45,000 a year in energy and maintenance costs.
