Overseas recruit is senior architect

Ivan Peredruk, a newly appointed overseas member of the Institute, writes: “I am currently employed as a senior architect with international company KEO, and, since 2010, have been based in Doha, Qatar, where I have been employed, on site, on the construction of the new Sidra Medical Research Centre.

 “I have gained over 25 years’ experience in architecture and the construction industry, and have worked on a broad range of healthcare projects, including working for well-known companies such as: r WS Atkins, which designed three 40- bed elderly care hospitals for Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde Community NHS Trust. r Healthcare specialist, Anshen Dyer, based in the company’s Manchester office, working on the now completed Manchester Royal Infirmary. “I also worked for a well-known, established architectural practice with over 40 years’ healthcare experience, Gilling Dod, based in Chorley in Lancashire, on a scheme for a new cardiac centre at Wythenshawe Hospital and Newton Community Hospital. “I have a proven track record in technical co-ordination on large interior design fit-out projects, and am diligent, accurate, and pay great attention to detail. I can demonstrate an understanding of sustainability issues and solutions in relation to building construction and fit-out. “My other memberships include CIAT (the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists) and IED (the Institute of Engineering Designers).”
