Dutch-headquartered specialist in the design, manufacture, and marketing, of personal security, speech paging, and messaging systems for hospitals, detention centres, care homes, prisons, and the hospitality market, Atus BV, has established a UK office in Cheltenham, which will offer direct sales, service, and support.
It will be headed, as MD, by former sales and marketing manager at Leominster-based Alarm Radio Monitoring (ARM), Darren Swindlehurst, who plans recruiting further sales and service staff over coming months. He explains: “Two years ago the Bosch Personal Security product division – which encompassed products such as pagers and personal security alarms – was acquired by Atus BV. The Breda-headquartered company wants to build up a network of ‘in-country’ direct sales and service operations, of which wholly owned subsidiary, Atus Systems, in the UK, is among the first. “We will be targeting the general healthcare market with products such as personal pagers, while simultaneously looking to supply wireless personal alarm units, and the accompanying infrastructure, to prisons, detention centres, and other facilities. We will also service and maintain customers’ equipment, offering a distinctly personal service, backed by high quality hardware, extensive sector know-how, and the support of a large parent organisation.”
