Haigh would like to thank all those who visited its stand at HefmA 2012, where the company exhibited the SOLO, and award-winning Panaway, pulp bedpan disposal systems from its Sluicemaster range.
The macerator system manufacturer has recently introduced a Sluicemaster training video, which is accessible online, or available on a free* CD / DVD (for copies, which are free until 30 June to NHS customers only – up to a maximum of 5 per hospital, email: info@haigh.co.uk). The video is designed ‘to ensure that all appropriate staff have the right basic training to avoid costly, unnecessary repairs’.
Developed in conjunction with NHS infection control nurses, it is described as ‘a straightforward, informative tool’ which will help staff ‘become confident’ with the operation of the Sluicemaster bedpan machines. Covering the Panaway, Classic+, and SOLO, the five- minute film takes users ‘through the basics’ to ensure they get the best performance from their machines. Created with nursing staff in mind, the video’s aim is to assist in the efficient use of the single use pulp products and macerator disposal systems, and to ensure systems are used correctly and maintained properly, and thus provide many years of efficient service for each customer.
Haigh’s Nick Dale says: “It is really important that staff are given the appropriate level of training, service, and support, to ensure that they get the most out of their investment in their products. These videos have been created to provide a clear, straightforward guide to operating and maintaining each Haigh machine, supplementing the on-site training provided when our equipment is installed.” Haigh also offers:
On and off-site operator and / or maintenance training.
Factory tours of its manufacturing facility.
Free money-saving advice and reports on disposable bedpans.
Dirty utility room site surveys.
‘Economical and bespoke’ maintenance contracts for all types of macerator.
