Connectivity with latest mobile devices

Static Systems Group will showcase ‘exciting advances’ to its Fusion-IP nurse call system. Using ‘platform-independent’ technology, and ‘a major breakthrough in real-time location’ (RTLS), Fusion-IP is said to be ‘leading the market with its innovative healthcare communication applications (apps)’.

New facilities such as ‘roaming patient call’, ‘hand hygiene monitoring’, and ‘patient fall monitoring’, will be demonstrated, along with improvements in reliability for ‘staff attack’ and ‘nurse presence’ – achieved via the use of ultrasound. Static Systems said: “These latest facilities are in addition to comprehensive patient-tonurse call, which includes bed transfer, two-way speech (SIP) to the patient bedside, and IP integration with the site Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).” Connectivity to the latest mobile devices means that alarms, faults, and other events displayed on the system, are accessible from any device supporting a web browser. Fusion-IP is designed to operate with ‘legacy’, current, and future communication protocols – ‘for improved flexibility, ease of maintenance and upgrading, and potential cost savings’.
