The recent Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) Awards 2012 saw 22-year-old Philip Budd, who joined Trend Controls’ Attitude Apprenticeship Scheme in its launch year in 2008, recognised as Student of the Year.
The judges felt his academic and practical achievements on the Trend scheme were ‘of an exceptionally high standard’. Karen Fletcher, BCIA executive officer, and chairman of the independent judging panel said: “Philip exemplifies the type of talent we want to join the industry, and has a very bright future ahead of him.”
