Specialist contractor, Prater, has won the contract to provide a complete external envelope for the New South Glasgow Acute Hospital (NSGH).
The new 14-floor hospital building is due to be completed by early 2015, and will be one of the UK’s largest acute hospitals. Prater will deliver backing wall, curtain walling, and windows; rainscreen and composite cladding; render; singleply roofing, and structural waterproofing finished with soft and hard landscaping. Andy Newman, Prater’s business development director, said: “Healthcare construction now includes a user-driven design ethos, in addition to advanced technical requirements.”
