The patented hinge now works with a concealed anti-ligature floor mounted closer (see photo), givingend users an option of a ‘ligaturefree’ self-closing device for bedrooms in mental health applications. There is also the option of the new Finger Protective Double Swing hinge, which allows greater than 90° opening in both directions, while retaining a clearance gap that avoids fingers being trapped. Also shown will be a ‘revolutionary’, tamper-proof door top alarm, designed to prevent attempted suicide, that alerts staff, via the staff attack system, when a weight is applied to the top of the door.
