Eco Building Products has supplied over 200 photovoltaic panels rated at 245 Watts, and SMA inverters, which together convert the sun’s energy, into usable electricity, for an installation on the roof of the Deeping Medical Practice in Market Deeping, Lincolnshire.
The scheme is predicted to generate 41,000 kWh of electricity annually, substantially reducing the practice’s bills for electricity from the grid. Lark Energy oversaw the panels’ planning and installation. Deeping Medical Practice will also benefit from the Government’s Feed in Tariff (FIT), which guarantees payments for the generation of energy from renewable energy technologies. The practice will use around 80 per cent of the electricity generated, exporting the remainder to the national grid. It estimates it will receive around £13,000 per year from FIT income, while reducing its annual energy costs by around £2,500.
