A doortop alarm developed to prevent attempted suicide from the tops of doors in mental health wards and similar settings will be a key focus on the Intastop stand. Intastop said of the system:
“Its design is such that the issues faced by estates and project managers previously, such as using a sloped door top, or a curtain, which can present other privacy and health and safety issues, are now eradicated.” Intastop will also show its widely used Antibacterial Impact Protection Sheet, and a new product line, Finger Safety Hinges, said to provide ‘permanent protection’ against finger trapping on the vulnerable hinge side of the door. The system is reportedly ideal for healthcare, child care, and educational facilities. Designed for double and single swing doors, the hinges are fire-tested to European Standard EN1634-12000.
