On 8 and 9 October, Trend will be exhibiting on Stand C37 at this year's Healthcare Estates event, arguably the biggest conference and exhibition specifically aimed at those building, running, and maintaining, healthcare facilities throughout the UK.
Visitors to its stand will discover how ‘up to 84 per cent’ of their healthcare estate’s energy consumption could be controlled using a building energy management system (BEMS).
The company said: “Many buildings already have a BEMS installed, and Trend’s experts will be on hand to explain how, against a backdrop of tighter budgets, environmental legislation, and the need for greater financial accountability, saving energy and money could be within easy reach. However, while energy saving is crucial, close control of the environment is still paramount, and the BEMS takes continuity of building services in its stride.”
As well as exhibiting, on October 9 Trend will be give a presentation, in the Energy Theatre on the exhibition floor, on ‘How the NHS can better exploit an energy-saving asset’.
It says: “Simply by making your Trend BEMS work harder, you can reduce your energy usage, and make improvements in line with your carbon reduction (CRC) commitments. The presentation will run between 10:30 and 11:00, and will feature some best practice examples.
Trend adds: “Why not take our fun ‘step challenge’ too? Simply measure the number of steps you take during the day with one of our free pedometers, and the closest score on each day to our benchmark figure will win a prize.”
Entrance to the exhibition is complimentary; visitors can either register online at www.healthcare-estates.com, or simply turn up on the day. Trend adds; “As a Trend VIP, using the code HCE13EXCUST, your discounted delegate ticket will include entrance to all conference sessions and the exhibition, including the VIP area, a delegate pack, free coffee, and free car parking, on the day.”
