New shapes and colours for slates

Marley Eternit is expanding its Thrutone fibre cement slate range with five new colours, suitable for use on roof pitches as low as 15°, and three new shapes.

The new additions mean the slates will be available in six colours – Blue Black, Terracotta, Russet, Turf Brown, Heather, and Stone Green. The whole range can be used down to a low roof pitch of just 15°, with a reduced rafter length of 4 m, and for vertical cladding. Marley Eternit has also added Chamfered, Scalloped, and Bullnosed-shaped slates to the range.

Charlotte Hughes, product manager, said: “Thrutone is our most popular and economical fibre cement slate. Following the success of our low pitch innovation last year, we wanted to offer further breadth. The new colours and shapes give specifiers, builders, and contractors, more choice, particularly for low pitch work.” Thrutone is a lightweight fibre cement slate offering ‘superb aesthetics, with its smooth surface and  square cut edges’.
