The Innowatech Aquadron Legionella Control System is said by its UK distributor, New Energy Management, to provide ‘24/7 protection’ against microorganisms in water systems.
Compliant with both ACOP L8 and HTM04-01, the system manufactures ‘a powerful disinfection agent’, which is added to water systems in dilute form, and is non-toxic and non-irritant to humans/animals. With low operating costs, and requiring minimal maintenance, it has already been successfully installed at many hospitals, care homes, physiotherapy pools, and schools in Germany, while testing by the University of Birmingham’s Antimicrobials Research Group has shown ‘99.999% reduction in the viable bacteria present in water within just five minutes of dosing’.
Monitorable via the internet, the system includes a data logger to record operation, and can be used in hot and cold water. One unit can serve multiple pipe systems, delivering differing dosing concentrations to each.
