A wide range of anti-ligature solutions will be shown by door and wall protection product manufacturer, Intastop.
The company’s expanding anti-ligature product range has been developed in response to the National Confidential Enquiry Into Suicide Report, which made several recommendations, including the coverage or removal of all likely ligature points. The Intastop Door Top Alarm (pictured) proved very popular at last year’s exhibition, and will once again be shown. The alarm addresses Priority 1 Suicide prevention issues. Designed specifically for retrofit and new build applications in mental healthcare, the alarm triggers staff alerts via a wide choice of options. Intastop will also show its Double Swing Hinge Package – incorporating a mechanism which enables doors to open quickly and easily in the opposite direction when emergencies arise, and launch a ‘new and improved’ anti-ligature tip for its ‘hugely successful’ Continuous Geared Hinge, plus the latest Removable Doorstop and the Intastop Anti-Ligature Handrail. Designed to be fixed without leaving a gap behind the rail, the latter features a continuous full length bracket which ‘greatly reduces any potential ligature risk’.
