Manufacturer of automatic and industrial doors, Gilgen Door Systems, is rolling out a new fleet of service vehicles which it says should deliver enhanced service response to customers’ door maintenance and repair needs UK-wide.
Its 90-strong van fleet is being upgraded to new Ford Custom and Ford Connect vehicles fitted with the latest GPS tracking technology, and professional parts storage systems. Each van features a Masternaut vehicle tracking system, ‘enabling total visibility of assets and vehicles within the fleet’. The technology captures information about vehicle location, speed, and distance. Gilgen’s national service planning and dispatch centre has real- time access via a dedicated web portal.
