Stanley Security’s AeroScout asset visibility system provides real-time location solutions (RTLS), status, and alerts, delivered via a healthcare facility’s Wi-Fi infrastructure, ‘to improve quality of care and patient and staff safety’.
Staff are immediately alerted when an at-risk patient exits the ward/building, or enters a restricted area, via notification methods including pagers, instant alerts on workstations, VoIP phones, and localised audio-visual indications. AeroScout’s MobileView displays live tracking and the historical path of ‘wandering’ patients. Patients wearing tags with call buttons can trigger panic or distress alerts. Notifications, along with the patient’s location, are sent to staff and security personnel.
Nursing and clinical personnel can carry call-button tags, which can be triggered to alert other staff on encountering an emergency or in duress situations. The alert is accompanied by the real-time location of the person requiring assistance.
