Ramtech Electronics, manufacturer of what the company claims is Europe’s only EN 54-compliant wireless fire alarm system, has developed an ‘innovative new interface’ that links its WES+ fire alarm with existing safety and security technologies used on site.
Suited to a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects, the WES+ Interface is capable of integrating ‘with most commonly used technologies’ in existing buildings, construction projects, and site cabins’.
The interface can be connected to other safety technologies on site so that when the alarm is raised it triggers the other systems. For example, the connection could be set up so that when the alarm is sounded across the WES+ system, the site access is switched to a safe evacuation state. The interface can also be connected so the WES+ system alarm can be triggered by an action from a third party system.
All units in the WES+ system, including the new interface, have been independently tested and carry a CE mark with 4-digit test centre reference, guaranteeing that they are compliant with EN 54 ‘and all other key safety legislation’.
