Marlin Stainless has added pharmaceutical finish motors to its range of stainless steel AC motors, and a similar option is also available for the company’s gearboxes. This combination enables the company to offer drive packages suitable for the most hygiene-sensitive applications.
The pharmaceutical finish complements the IP66 hose-down tolerant rating and smooth body exterior that minimises the risk of waste entrapment and accumulation, while the IEC metric dimensions ensures easy retrofit or replacement for OEMs without the need to modify equipment designs.
Further increasing the Marlin’s motors suitability for pharmaceutical applications is an option for pedestal feet. These facilitate access and promote more efficient cleaning – enhancing hygiene standards.
Motor ratings: 0.18 to 7.5 kW in metric frame sizes up to 132 as TEFC machines. Smaller units (up to 0.75 kW) are also available from 63 frame size as TENV machines. The worm gearboxes have centre distances of 31, 42 and 61mm with ratios from 5:1 to 75:1.
Torques range from 0.9 Nm to 208 Nm and options include gears with torque pins, food spec lubricants and various output shaft designs.
