New recruit’s wealth of experience

The Water Hygiene Centre has announced that Phil Lonsdale has joined as senior consultant/Authorising Engineer (Water).

“We are very excited to have Phil join our team,” said Daniel Pitcher, the Centre’s MD. “He adds to the strength and high quality of service we currently offer. With a wealth of professional knowledge and qualifications, and over 19 years’ experience of working in water hygiene and occupational health and safety, he has advised a diverse group of clients, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, hospitality and leisure providers, retailers, and residential and commercial property managers, on how to minimise the risks of waterborne infection.”

Previous experience includes:

  • Consultancy support following HSE improvement notices.
  • Incident investigation, with the production of close monitoring programmes and prioritised action plans to immediately control systems and eradicate Legionella counts.
  • Third Party Reviews of Legionella risk assessments, including evaluating property risk ratings to ensure that high risk sites are adequately assessed.
  •  Training for a wide range of audiences.

Also an active member of the Water Management Society, Phil Lonsdale will act as an Authorising Engineer (Water) for Water Hygiene Centre clients across southern and central England.
