A new company, The Mobility Rental Group, focused on meeting public demand for a national mobility equipment rental service, was launched at Naidex.
Peter Kitson, managing director of the Mobility Rental Group, believes there is a huge gap in the market and said: “If you are recovering from an operation and need a special chair, bed or bath lift to help you recuperate then renting is by far the best option. You do not want to pay hundreds of pounds or even thousands for something you only need for a couple of months and that’s where we see our service really benefiting the public.
“One of the key issues we have addressed is ensuring that a used piece of equipment is completely sanitised before re-hiring it to another customer. All our equipment is designed with removable covers that are replaced for each new user and the permanent fixture is professionally cleaned. We also perform maintenance inspections and rigorously retest each item before returning it to the rental system for the next customer. These procedures ensure the highest possible standards are maintained so that each customer receives a piece of equipment in as good as new condition.”
