Moving beds easily

With its compact design and manoeuvrability, the Nu-Star PTS fits into most lifts with the bed attached and enables one person to move a bed and occupant safely with minimum disturbance to the patient. Beds are attached and detached in seconds, with a patented connection method. Most beds and trolleys are moved easily at a comfortable walking pace (3.2 mph) with a load capacity of 750 kg.

The PTS is fitted with a 24V motor, 26:1 gear reduction and dual wheel drive. Nu-Star reports that it can reduce employee injuries and complies with the Health and Safety guidelines regarding the manual pushing/pulling limits for one person. It also has a fully programmable control system giving a diagnostic facility, fingertip control and failsafe braking for slopes and corners.

Other features include: emergency stop, a safety horn, and sealed and maintenance-free batteries, with an on-board battery charger enabling opportunity charging at any time.

In line with NHS guidelines for the control of the spread of hospital acquired infections, the PTS metalwork is finished with an approved antibacterial coating.
