Scope storage

According to the manufacturer and supplier of temperature-controlled healthcare storage systems, endoscopes must be used within four hours following reprocessing unless stored under the right conditions. The Scope-Store enables storage for up to 72 hours without reprocessing before use. Currently two models are available – a vertical hanging unit with a four scope capacity and a shelf-loaded model that can hold eight.

While in storage the endoscopes are dried inside and out using HEPA-filtered air.

Operator access is PIN-coded via a touchscreen control panel, while monitor timers for each scope provide clear visibility of elapsed storage times. Full data on each endoscope’s storage conditions is available in printed form or can be downloaded to a PC.
