North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust has bought over 300 Fireco Dorgards for fitting to fire doors throughout its hospital wards, health centres, community homes, and bungalows for people living with learning disabilities.
Combined Healthcare has six hospitals and 30 properties. On its wards the Dorgards are enhancing the automatic fire alarm system’s operation of principal doors by improving access, with no compromise in safety, while on subsidiary doors such as those for ward management and storerooms, the Dorgards help prevent the “wedged door” hazard.
