Larger displays for clearer images

Parity Medical provides clinical information access solutions via mobile, desk and wall-mounted devices for use in theatres, on wards and A&E, in MDT and training rooms, for projects such as PACS, care records, pharmacy, digital signage, patient information/ entertainment and bed management.

The company can supply and install large format LCD displays in sizes ranging from 30 in., 40 in., 46 in. and 57 in. to 65 in. for use in theatres, A&E departments, for replacing whiteboards, for MDT rooms and for areas where patient information/entertainment is important.

Parity says orthopaedic theatres in particular benefit from using large format displays; they can display both “long limb” PACS images and three full size 17 in. x 11 in. film images. Large format displays are also said to be excellent for use in MDT (multidisciplinary team) rooms, providing large audiences with the opportunity to view clear images without the need to dim lights or draw curtains.

Illustrated is a recent Parity Medical installation at The Lister Hospital, Stevenage where the radiology seminar room was previously equipped with a 42 in. plasma television regarded as no longer fit for purpose for the modern PACS system. This was replaced by one 65 in. LCD Dicom display, two 40 in. LCD Dicom displays and a 242 LCD Dicom display for the operator console.
