Cutting steam systems’ costs

Spirax Sarco aims to help healthcare estates improve their steam plant operations by reducing running costs and increasing safety.

The company’s product range is complemented by “top-notch” design, installation and commissioning, service and maintenance. Spirax Sarco can audit steam systems, finding new ways to reduce energy consumption and meet the latest safety legislation, while Spirax Sarco Engineered Systems will “simplify and accelerate the specification, purchasing and installation of heating, hot water and clean steam services.”

To save costs on energy centre installations or upgrades, Spirax Sarco’s project management experts advise on the most efficient option, perhaps using off-site manufacturing, which typically delivers 15% savings compared with traditional on-site methods.

Spirax Sarco products shown in Harrogate will include the EasiHeat Engineered System and the new CSM-C compact clean steam generator (pictured), which provides up to 600 kg/h of clean steam. The compact unit has been designed and tested to meet HTM 2010, HTM 2031 and EN285 standards for sterilisation.
