Berchtold’s latest E generation surgical lights feature a complete redesign of the reflector system, providing “unrivalled” spot performance, up to 34 cm in size, with a uniform spread of light across the entire spot.
Additionally the new design offers “unprecedented shadow control and deep cavity penetration”. For general use the E generation comes with tungsten halide BRITe bulb technology said to be both reliable and efficient, while for “the ultimate performance in general surgery”, particularly where the operative site is large, the lights are also available with High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) bulbs featuring Autolux, which automatically adjusts light intensity depending on spot size. Berchtold says HID is the most efficient technology available for surgical lighting, even surpassing LED, producing 160 kLux of illumination from just 70 watts of power. An all-new suspension system, compatible with the entire E generation range, allows free movement of lightheads.
