As the day’s visitors make their way to the exit, the Delabie team is giving the products on the company’s stand (B26) a last polish, and putting away the demonstration models ready for tomorrow.
There is a general buzz of excitement as the staff compare leads, eager to see if the numbers are up on last year – if the raw data is anything to go by, the trend of double-digit growth over the past couple of years looks set to continue in 2024.
Delabie’s Senior Marketing & Communications manager, Carole Armstrong, said: “As a veteran of an incredible 14 Healthcare Estates shows, it would be easy to see this as just another four days (including stand build) in an enclosed exhibition venue in an otherwise rather damp and chilly October in Manchester. However, I love coming to Healthcare Estates. Normally desk-bound, it’s a great opportunity to talk to the people who are using our products on a daily basis: the estates and facilities teams who manage the water distribution system, keeping the water flowing at safe temperatures and free from infection; the capital project and commissioning teams who want to see the latest technologies and product developments, and are keen to discuss their refurbishment and new-build projects, and the architects who are looking to meet sustainability targets while ensuring that the products are fit-for-purpose and accessible for all users. For Delabie these are the people at the sharp end of our industry, and they are the reason that we keep coming back to Healthcare Estates, come rain or shine.”
“For us,” Carole Armstrong continued, “the measure of a successful event is how many conversations we have had about the current and future challenges facing these healthcare professionals. If we come away buzzing with excitement, it’s because we are feeding off the energy of the visitors who are keen to find out more about our thermostatic and pressure-balancing technologies, or our design-led ergonomic Be-Line range. Most exciting of all has been the response to our official launch of the new Aquatools filters range. Based on the conversations we had today, the Sales team is going to be very busy in the coming months. And we have already reserved our stand for October 2025 – even if beats 2024 for the wettest autumn on record!”
