Fitted furniture valued at £371,000 from David Bailey Furniture Systems has been specified by architects Watkins Gray International for many of the main wards and reception areas at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children as part of a series of refurbishment projects undertaken by construction company Mansell.
Undertaken for the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust (GOSH), the refurbishment’s first phase included work at the paediatric and neonatal intensive care units; the dental and maxillofacial department; the medical illustration offices; the Safari Day Care Centre for haematology and oncology, and the Louise, Penguin and Rainforest Wards in the Southwood Building. In addition to the base and wall storage units, worktops and shelving specified from its Healthline range, David Bailey Furniture Systems also supplied custom-made nurse stations for reception areas.
