Kawneer says over 1,000 of its latest AA 3110 horizontal sliding windows, which maximise ventilation while minimising the risk of self-harm, have been specified by key architects serving English and Welsh health bodies.
The AA 3110 has anti-ligature features such as a wraparound gasket that breaks into harmless pieces on any attempt at removal, alongside a streamlined handle that cannot be used as a ligature point. Key lockable in compliance with HTM55 and BS 8213 regulations, the window features a concealed mechanism that enables locking open at 125 mm, anti-lift blocks to prevent removal of sliding vents, and options for glazing up to 33 mm thick.
