Advancing hand hygiene

Dart Valley Systems (DVS) will exhibit new technology that further advances its hygienic, no-touch clinical handwashing solutions.

DVS says reduced water costs achievable via installing “no-touch” clinical handwash taps will pay for the investment, with such taps also making an important contribution to reducing healthcareacquired infections. The company says: “Trials in a large hospital showed a 65% reduction in the water used per handwash with no-touch taps compared with lever-operated taps. The number of handwashes doubled, confirming the view that no-touch taps are so much easier to use and encourage handwashing.” Other products shown will include “no-touch, wave on” electronic WC flushing systems, said to be hygienic, easy to operate and to use 30% less water, and a variety of ready-plumbed washroom modules.
