Manufacturer of standalone locking systems Codelocks is supplying medical equipment manufacturer Freeway Medical with electronic cabinet locks for medical trolleys and patient lockers for the NHS and private sector.
CL1000 right-hand horizontal locks and CL1000 standard vertical locks have been supplied as an advanced keyless form of access control to medical trolley installations and ICU patient lockers. Ian Jones, from Freeway Medical, said: “We previously used seven-lever leverlocks with keys sourced from China, but found them of very low quality. We switched to Codelocks as a cost- effective, convenient alternative as the keypad access system means keys are not required for hospital staff members.” The CL1000 has three programme levels. The Master Code can be used to put the lock into two modes of operation; the Multiple User Code mode is a default setting which can be repeatedly used to open the lock, and with the One-Time User Code mode the lock can be locked and opened once before the code is erased for the new user to enter a new code. This latter mode is designed for units that have multiple short-term occupancy, such as cabinets housing patient belongings in hospitals.
