Leaderflush Shapland has added the Abloy UK Smartair access control system to its architectural ironmongery range, in the process “providing the protection of technologically sophisticated access control without the need for a complex online system”.
The Smartair RFID (radio frequency identification) technology allows the user to simply present their Smartair card in proximity to the lock to gain access. The contactless chip technology also ensures that the system is durable, and requires minimal maintenance. All the control elements apart from the reader are located on the door’s inner side, making it vandal-resistant. Each door is a stand-alone unit, with the wireless system managed from a PC, giving complete central control of door security. User access information is created and stored within Smartair’s software, modifiable as required. Audit trails track and monitor door usage, and access levels can be varied for multiple users across time and area zones. Lost cards can be easily deactivated.
