A new range of antibacterial low surface temperature (LST) radiators has been launched by Pendock, which conform to NHS guidelines for hospitals and care homes.
The new floor mounted “SafeHeat” range has been developed to combine easy cleaning, high efficiency and class leading active antibacterial properties, from Akzo Nobel’s Interpon AB coating, in an integrated LST radiator package.
Two core models, the Ultima and Prima, make up the range which uses Pendock’s innovative heat flow baffle system on the SafeHeat Ultima, to ensure the surface temperature always stays within the 43 degree limit set by the NHS, yet delivers high efficiency thermal performance. A full “custom” option is also available, allowing clients to specify SafeHeat LSTs to precise requirements from a range of options.The Ultima also incorporates Pendock “Easi-Clean” fully removable panels to give unrestricted access for regular cleaning without the need to swing the entire guard cover from the wall, which can cause a major obstruction hazard in corridors and in areas close to hospital beds or furniture.
The Prima model is a budget conscious alternative to the Ultima which delivers an almost identical thermal performance but is supplied without Easi-Clean access panels.
